Is it possible to correct Absent days?

Postby ksredd on Tue Oct 26, 2010 6:44 pm

We moved around the start of our school year, and although we were working, I didn't add the new school year in the program until recently (this is my second year using it)... Is there a way to correct the days that Skedtrack marked the kids absent? Technically their start date was September 6th but they are showing up as absent each day until I added the new year. Our state requires 180 days or 990 hours, and I am wondering how to recapture this time? Any advise on how I can handle this?

Thanks so much for this AWESOME software! You're keeping me sane...really! ;)

Once you have set up the start date and the days of the week the kids are having school for a specific course, you can go to Activities-Edit Activities and click "Auto Generate Activities" click the box that says "Include Skipped Dates" and it will generate activities prior to today's date. Check if all the dates generated are correct and then click SAVE. You will get activities with completion dates but with blank descriptions. If you have a record of what you did for those days (like lesson numbers) go ahead and type them in. If you gave a test, make sure you choose the correct activity type so it will appear under the Tests tab. Do the same thing for all the other courses. This will fix the absent days on the Calendar.
