Un-using resources?

Postby tankgirl73 on Sat Aug 28, 2010 12:06 pm

I'm just curious about the intended use of the "use" category for features, and what other users have done with it. How they've used it. LOL enough "use" in there? Confused yet?

Anyway. This is my question. The resources we used last year are still all listed together with the ones for this year. Is the intention that I should delete the "resource usage" for a completed resource? Or should I keep it there as a record of what has been completed?

I think it makes sense to keep it there as a record, and it does have the school year associated with it.

Where it's confusing, though, is when I look at the whole list of resources. It is NOT immediately obvious from the general list which resources are CURRENTLY being used, as opposed to used-in-the-past-but-not-this-year.

So if we are expected to keep previous resources in the list, would it be possible to add a "School Year" column to the general resource list? (Other than the "year" that's currently there showing year of publication). Or some way to sort the resource list according to CURRENT YEAR usage versus PREVIOUS YEARS usage.

The use column is for the list of all the students using the resource and in which school year. The Resources list is not sorted by school year. There is no display of resources by school year - the resources will print when you print the Course Report for a course.

In addition, you can view all the resources used per child for the school year by generating Course Resources Report.
