Working Ahead

Postby sommers828 on Mon Sep 06, 2010 10:14 pm

First of all, thank you for such a wonderful planner. It has so many great features and will be such a huge help to us this year.

This is our first year using your site. I have entered the whole year's activities for several courses. My son really likes to work ahead. I read your post about being able to mark more than one activity as complete on the same day. I was wondering how you would recommend we log his work. For example, if he completes three days worth of history in one day, should I mark those three lessons as complete? Or would you recommend that I edit that day and delete the other two?

Last year he completed three full years of curriculum in one school year on history. Some days he just would rather use his free time to do more school work, but I don't want to schedule longer. I just want to schedule what he has to do. I'm concerned we might surpass your maximum of 300 activities if I just mark more than one as complete for each day.

I appreciate your input. Thank you again for such a wonderful site.

It would be best to copy all 3 the activities in one activity description and delete the other 2 and put in only one completion date - and just edit the duration to count the correct hours spent. Separating activities done on the same day is recommended and useful if the activities are graded (type is not regular) and the graded weights are different.
