Adding activities for an unscheduled course?

Postby tankgirl73 on Wed Sep 23, 2009 10:00 am

We have a course or two that we do not schedule regularly, but just occasionally... as needed, or when we have some extra time. For instance, an 'extra' course or a remedial supplement course. In other words, I can't use the M-F course scheduling.

I can create activities for this course, and I can add a completion date manually after the fact, which makes it show up in the schedule for that day as a completed activity. However, I can't get it to show up in the schedule ahead of time, or on the "today" printed schedule.

A similar question would be, what if a course is regularly scheduled for, say, Mondays only -- but for just this week, we actually plan to do it every day. How can I add those days to the upcoming schedule?

Is there a way to do this that I've missed? If not, could it be added in the future? Having "default" scheduled days, as it currently stands, is great and saves me SO much work :) But it would be nice to also be able to manually schedule activities for non-default days.

Thanks! We've been using SkedTrack for about a week now and it's really helping us!

What you can do with this is just let it come up on the Today-Daily everyday, check it off if done for the day and just ignore it if you don't want to do it for the day.

This feature is not supported. The only activity that can be scheduled ahead of time is field trip.

For this, you can edit the course and check M-F just for that week, then edit it back to M after that.
