Please help!!

I have spent the last 1/2 hour trying to upload a file of activities. I keep getting error messages "Validation Messages:
File upload not valid, verify file validity." I cannot find what the problem is. Here is a sample of my information:

DURATION, TYPE, DESCRIPTION
30,W,Pg 105 - Easy
30,W,Pg 107 - Easy
30,W,Pg 109 - Easy
30,W,Pg 111 - Easy
30,W,Pg 113 - Easy
30,W,Pg 119 - Easy
30,W,Pg 121 - Easy
30,W,Pg 123 - Easy
30,W,Pg 125 - Easy
30,W,Pg 127 - Easy
30,W,Pg 193 - Easy

As far as I can tell, it is in the correct format. Please help me figure out why it will not upload. I do not want to have to retype all this info!!!

I just tried uploading an attachment with the file so the whole thing could be viewed and it keeps telling me the extension is not allowed. I tried .doc, .csv and nothing. Not understanding what the problem is!

We copied your sample to Notepad and save as .txt and also .csv. Both worked. We checked our logs and found some strange characters embedded in your file. Please try opening your file with Notepad and save it as .txt or .csv then try again.

I, too, am getting an error while trying to import. It says my file is not valid and to check it's validity.
All I could figure, is that there had to be characters, like commas in my descriptions that were causing problems. I removed the commas, then I removed ampersands ... Still, I am having troubles. What characters can I use, or what characters should I avoid?
