field trip hours

Hi,
It seems that the hours for field trips do not figure into the total hours for the particular course chosen for the field trip. Does it depend on how you set up the field trip/course? Thanks for any help or insight into this. I am a fairly new user. Denise

Thanks for pointing this out. The hours from the field trip should add up to the hours in the course. This is a bug and we will fix it.

I have another problem with field trip hours. We had a field trip to one place which had lots of activities. For the same day I logged in 3 separate field trips - one for PE, Science, and Social Studies. On the calendar, only the Science field trip is reflected. The Today Schedule states there was a Science fieldtrip - but does not include it as part of the schedule in total hours. Is this part of the same bug or is it different? Thanks for your help.

Yes this is part of the bug. Ideally, you would tag each of the field trip as "Day Co-Owner" or "Regular" (not "Own the Day") and it should add up all the hours for all three field trips + the other coursework that would be done for the day. Thanks for reporting this bug. Bugs will be fixed before the school year ends.
