Hi there, I just read the other thread about variable schedules, and marking certain days as vacation days so they don't show as absent. I'm wondering how I can do this with two different kids who are not both taking the 'vacation day'?
My daughter is doing K but we're doing it very loosely. I've got the schedule set as M-F, and I'm just doing what you had suggested to the other poster -- everything shows up every day, I just check it off when we happen to do some of it, and the next activity comes around for the next day.
But we don't do something every day. For instance, we didn't do any "school work" on Wed, Thur, or Friday last week. (But we did on Saturday, I entered that manually). So she shows up as "Absent" those days.
But if I go into admin and change those days to vacation days, then they also become vacation days for her older brother. He's 12, doing grade 7, and he did schoolwork each of those days, like he was 'supposed' to. It will be very strange if all of his sister's days off (vacation days) are also listed as vacation days for him, even though he did his work.
