I'm a new HST user. I am very glad I purchased.
Lesson planning is much easier using HST!
But, I have run into a small road block -- I can't get weighted grading feature to work.
Subject: Math
Course: One course - Teaching TB
Activities: Four activities - Lesson, Practice Problems, Problem Set, Test.
Only two activities are weighted for grading: Problem Set 50% and Test 50%.
The other two activities are assigned zero when weighting feature is selected,
and I have not used them in lesson plans yet.
As I understand it, to arrived at a weighted grade, the Problem Set grades are averaged and multiplied by 50%.
The Test scores are averaged and multiplied by 50%.
These two products are then added together to arrived at the grade for Subject Math...???
(I have percentage grading calculation option selected)
Here is my 'sample data' for the week:
Problem set grades: 95, 100, 96, 100 Average: 98 x 50% = 49
Test grades: 63 (
I wanted to use a number that would truly affect the grade) Ave: 63 x 50% = 3249 + 32 = 81
I can't get this number on the Report Card. I keep getting 91 which is the UNweighted grade
!What am I doing wrong?
